The dedicated Bethany Staff serving the Bethany Family
PASTOR MARYANN TURCOTT
Welcome to Bethany Baptist Church where it is my privilege to serve as Pastor. Just a little information about my background. I was born in Brampton and graduated from McMaster University with a Social Work degree in 1983. I worked in the Owen Sound area as a social worker before accepting the Lord as my Saviour at the age of 30. I was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Owen Sound. I then trained at McMaster University Divinity College and became an ordained Pastor in 2001.
My husband Al also attends Bethany and is active in the worship team. We have two sons: Luke and Matthew. I have no musical ability, but do enjoy singing. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, scrapbooking, and travelling.
My favourite life verse is: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.” (Matthew 5: 14-15)
Our vision here at Bethany is to be salt and light. As Christians we strive to shine the light of Jesus into the world. We also want to make Bethany a place of refuge for those longing for hope.
Hi! My name is Mary-Anne.
I will likely be your first point of contact for Bethany Baptist Church and our community. If I can’t answer your questions I know someone who can!
My tasks include producing and e-mailing the weekly Church bulletin, creating the screen projections for the worship service, and issuing the Church Directory and Annual General Meetings Report to the Bethany community. I also maintain the booking calendar for events held at Bethany and financial records for the Treasurer and Auditors.
It is also my privilege to assist Pastor Maryann in secretarial and administrative duties. She is a very kind and supportive shepherd at Bethany Baptist Church.
